Q. How does the Theatre Orangeville 50/50 draw work?
The 50/50 draw administered by Theatre Orangeville is a raffle licensed by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) where individuals purchase ticket(s) for the opportunity to win 50% of the total money raised through the sale of 50/50 tickets.
Q. Where does the other 50% of the proceeds raised go?
The other 50% of the proceeds raised will help with the delivery of the charitable objectives of Theatre Orangeville and be allocated to the following components:
To support the development and facilitation of hybrid programming; providing the combination of live in-person performances, with a reduced capacity and following strict public health protocols to ensure audience safety, with the option for patrons to live-stream the same exceptional productions directly into the comfort of their own homes.
Q. Who is eligible to buy 50/50 draw tickets?
If you meet the following criteria, you are eligible to purchase 50/50 draw tickets:
● Must be 18 years of age or older at the time of purchase
● Must be located in the Province of Ontario at the time of purchase
Note: Prior to the purchase of a ticket online, you will be required to verify your eligibility and that the information is complete and accurate.
The following individuals are not eligible to participate in the 50/50 Draws: Theatre Orangeville staff members (Artistic Director, General Manager, Development Manager, Marketing Manager, Office Manager and Graphic Designer) involved in the administration of the raffle with the independent third-party raffle provider (Bump Worldwide Inc.).
Q. Can I play more than once in a game?
Yes. You can purchase more than one ticket per event or game.
Q. What are the odds of winning?
The odds of winning the prize are based on the number of tickets sold.
Q. How is the winning number drawn?
A unique winning number is randomly generated and issued by the electronic 50/50 system out of the numbers purchased for that particular draw. The mechanism for selecting the winning number is a computer-based random number generator that has been certified by the AGCO.
Q. How do I claim my prize?
If you have the winning 50/50 number, please contact Paula Stewart, raffle administrator at email@example.com or 519-942-3423 x 2803. You must complete the required winner claimant documents within six (6) months of the draw date.
The winner will then be paid by cheque within three (3) weeks of the claim date. You must present your text message/email of your online winning ticket, along with two (2) forms of identification including a government-issued photo ID). The winning ticket cannot be tampered with. Theatre Orangeville reserves the right to deny winnings if the ticket has been reproduced or changed from its original state.
Please note: Online ticket sales must be claimed by the individual named in the original purchase transaction. Theatre Orangeville is not responsible for any division of the winning prize amount to any other party other than the individual named in the original purchase transaction.
Q. What currency is the prize money paid in?
All transactions and winnings are paid in Canadian Dollars. The prize will be paid by cheque payable to the winner.
Q. Do I need to live in Ontario to play?
You do not need to live in the province of Ontario to purchase a 50/50 ticket but you do need to be physically located within the province of Ontario at the time of purchase of your online 50/50 draw ticket to be eligible to play.
Q. How can I pay for my online 50/50 ticket?
Our online 50/50 website accepts the following payment types: Visa, MasterCard.
Q. I cannot access www.theatreorangeville5050.ca. What should I do?
Per AGCO regulations – please be advised that you must be located within the province of Ontario at the time of your purchase. Your device’s location services must be turned on to verify your location prior to entry to the online 50/50 sales platform. Users must also agree to all Terms and Conditions outlined.outlined. If you have met these two criteria and are still having trouble accessing the site, please call us for assistance.
Q. I purchased a 50/50 ticket but did not get my numbers. What should I do?
If you purchased your 50/50 ticket but did not receive your numbers, please check your junk or spam folders in the event it was flagged by your email provider. If you still do not have your 50/50 ticket, contact firstname.lastname@example.org and our support staff will resend your raffle numbers (some verification will be required). If your transaction is completed successfully, your numbers will still be part of the draw.
Q. I think I, or someone I know, may have a problem with gambling. What should I do?

Q. Why does www.theatreorangeville5050.ca require my location and/or why am I receiving the following prompt: Ex “www.theatreorangeville5050.ca would like to use your current location?"
Your current location is required to confirm eligibility. The raffle will be offered throughout the Province of Ontario (the "Raffle Area"). Void outside the raffle Area and where prohibited by law, rule, or regulation.
Q. What if I already selected "Don't Allow"?
Reloading the page should cause you to be prompted to share your location again. If you have specified that you never want to share your location, you will need to go into your settings to allow. See below for instructions.
Q. What if I receive the following prompt: "You must allow your browser to share your location to purchase tickets, please click "OK" to reload this page, then be sure to allow your browser to share your location to share your location when prompted"?
The browser should reload the page and ask you to share location upon loading.
Note: In some browsers, the popup may say "close" instead of "OK"
Note: If the popup indicates to click '"OK" but "OK" does not appear, you may need to adjust Safari's location settings within your Settings Ap. Please see the 'Enable Device Location Services' below.
Q. I entered the incorrect email and did not print my tickets, how can I get my tickets resent?
Please go to the Contact page and request that the raffle administrator email you your tickets.
Q: What if I cannot purchase tickets on www.theatreorangeville5050.ca due to Location issues?
You may have told your browser to never share your location. You need to change that setting to allow the sale.
Q. When I am trying to process a transaction it is not working? What can I do?
Please remember that when you are filling in the personal information at the checkout page the address you input must match the address of the Credit Card that will be used for the transaction. Please ensure all fields are inputted correctly.
Note: When entering your credit card number, do not include any spaces. Some browsers will not recognize the number if there are spaces between the digits.
Q. The site is not loading properly, and I am not able to get to the checkout page. What can I do?
Based on the browser you are on, please go to the settings then history and clear cookies and cache. Once completed please close the page, reopen and try again.
Q. The site is STILL not loading properly, and I am not able to get to the checkout page. What can I do?
Be sure to check that all necessary boxes are filled. Any box or field with an asterisk beside it must have information entered in it to continue.
Note: Also ensure that any permissions (I am 18 years of age and above, I have read the terms and conditions) have been checked off.
Q. I do not have a mobile phone? What do I put in that box?
Simply enter your home number in the 'mobile' box. This is the number we will use to contact you. It does not need to be a mobile phone number.
Q. How do I enable "Location" on my device?
Select from the devices below, to enable your access to the theatreorangeville5050.ca site. Instructions for each are provided below.
iOS Mobile devices
1. Go to the Settings App.
2. Go to ‘Privacy’.
3. Go into ‘Location Services’.
4. Ensure ‘Location Services’ are on.
5. Scroll down and click ‘Safari Websites’.
6. Make sure that Allow Location Access is set to "While Using the App."
Windows Desktop Chrome
1. Open Chrome
2. Click on the three vertical dots in the top right corner
3. Go to the Settings
4. Go to ‘Privacy and Security’
5. Click on Site Settings
6. Click on “Locations”
7. Make sure “Sites can ask for your location” is checked
Check if Location Services is turned on
1. Open ‘System Preferences’
2. Select ‘Security & Privacy’
3. Select ‘Privacy’ tab
4. Ensure ‘Location Services’ is checked
5. If it is not checked click the lock icon in bottom right corner of that window to make changes
6. Enter in your Username and password
7. Check The ‘Enable Location Services’ checkbox
